This letter was sent in August of 1973 by then Rolling Stones editor Hunter S. Thompson, who is himself a little famous, to Anthony Burgess, the author or A Clockwork Orange.

Due to the scatological nature of the contents of this rejection letter, I don’t want to include the entire text here, but Esquire did! I got a great laugh out of it. Not that I think celebrities can act with impunity but my question now is: Who is the more famous: Thompson or Burgess?
