There is always something magical about the first snowfall of the year– we had no snow in later 2015, and then on the eve of Martin Luther King Day we FINALLY got our first taste of Winter Magic…just enough for a little girl frolicking with her sister and father on Columbus Avenue to scrape together enough for what might have been the first Upper West Side snowball of 2016 ( there would be plenty more when the Blizzard came a little while later).–
