I have read a number of similar articles now, most recently in one called “Hooks and Halligans” in which this Senior Chief complains 1) Young FF’s nowadays often know nothing about manual labor or mechanical skills ( and gives comic anecdotes about this) 2) Take all tech things for granted, but are on Facebook and other Social Media and playing games online while at work3) he admits he is addicted to his iphone…but he doesn’t like what he sees.

He also seems to think there is a lack of mentoring going on in regards to Rookie Firemen that he was used to when he was young.

Does this strike you as true? I keep reading articles with the same theme…where there’s smoke, there’s fire?
