Due to recent events a great number of Saudi Arabia’s allies have unified a joint diplomatic action against Iran in wake of the attack on the Saudi embassy in Tehran which was an unfortunate target of an ongoing dispute over the execution of a Shia Muslim cleric.
As a result both Bahrain and Sudan have severed trade relations with Iran. Reports also indicate that the UAE has also downgraded its diplomatic team to address the issue. Following this Saudi Arabia on Sunday has announced that it too has opted to “severed-ties” and gave Iran’s diplomats two days to go.
In line with this Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, mentioned that trade links with Iran would soon be cut and air traffic links stopped as a result of the unwanted conflict….
However one has to ask if the actions of the other nations have been a motive to inflame the situation at hand, rather than a peaceful solution this might turn out to be yet another problem which could ultimately lead to war….
