A 565-foot crane collapsed during Friday morning’s rush hour in snowy Lower Manhattan where one person was reported to be killed and three others injured during the ordeal.

Properties, vehicles were also damaged as this massive crane fell while it was being lowered into a fixed position when it unfortunately fell due to windy conditions.

The city’s immediate response was for the other 376 crawler and 53 tower cranes in operation to be put down to avoid similar tragedies due to weather conditions.
